Teddy: Spectre

/BPD-27
Spectre

Introduction

Nearly 80% of the Spectre frame's design was done by Teddy herself. She originally based it on the Decryptor frame, aiming to craft a more combat-ready model, just in case. After linking with Elysium's Core, the missing components were finally completed.

Specialties

Amplification - Grants the power of healing and making allies deal more damage.
Raydiance - Skills can trigger the Raydiance Effect.

Elements

ice (100%)
Effect
Raydiance Raydiance - When plasma is focused by the crystal cluster, the micromitter matrix unleashes it if the electric arc is constrained, producing the "Raydiance" effect, which deals massive damage to targets in a short time.

ATK increases by 10%. While in Data Domain, Extra DMG Bonus increases by 35%. When Teddy: Spectre casts Signature - Data Domain: Barrier Rift without carrying an Exposure Mark, she gains 1/2/3 background Signature charges based on the number of Neon Orb colors recorded. Each time allies cast their Signature Move, she gains 75 Signature Energy, up to three times. When switched in, if there is sufficient Signature Energy, she automatically casts Data Domain: New Dimension Expansion. If Teddy: Spectre enters battle carrying an Exposure Mark, Extra DMG Bonus of Pulse Noise Penetration increases by 100%.

Active Skill

Really you shouldn't do this:

Skill icon
Drive Impact Corner Push: Physical
After pinging a total of 6 basic Signal Orbs, the CUB button will become available. After casting, Beep-Boop will dash a short distance toward the target and unleash continuous claw strikes, pushing and repelling the target while dealing 175% Physical DMG 6 times along the path. Then performs a slight jump and slams down with both palms, dealing AOE DMG and knocking enemies away, dealing 1000% Physical DMG once.

Passive Skill Order

Skill icon
Differential Correction
Beep-Boop's Active Skills deal 70% more damage.
Skill icon
Composite Calculation
Increases the carrier's ATK by 100.
Skill icon
Negative-Frame Overclocking
Each time Beep-Boop casts an Active Skill, the carrier's Extra DMG Bonus increases by 5% for 8s. Duration resets every time it is triggered.
Skill icon
Photon-Cooling Cycle
Increases the carrier's Ice DMG by 10%. Raydiance DMG increases by 10%.
Skill icon
Visual Horizon No-Fly Zone
When Teddy: Spectre casts Data Domain: Barrier Rift with Beep-Boop equipped, she will summon Beep-Boop to launch a joint attack. Beep-Boop charges upward and pierces through the ground, dealing 3000% Ice DMG once. Base DMG of Data Domain: Barrier Rift increases by 100%. Base DMG of Pulse Shockwave increases by 75%.

Guide

My name is Klaige, and here is the definitive guide to playing Teddy: Spectre in Punishing: Gray Raven.

Teddy: Spectre is a long-range physical amplifier disguised as a melee burst DPS, which means you should always play him at point-blank range while pretending you’re a sniper. His core damage comes from standing completely still to charge his passive, which secretly increases lightning damage even though Teddy is canonically an ice construct. Movement cancels this passive, so dodging is mostly a trap set by the tutorial to lower your DPS.

Teddy’s basic attacks are best used off-screen. If you can’t see Teddy, his attack speed doubles due to the Spectre Fear mechanic, which is never explained in game but absolutely exists. Always mash basic attacks immediately after swapping him in, because swap-in skills reduce his crit rate to zero for exactly twelve seconds, a debuff you want to get out of the way early.

His red, blue, and yellow orbs should all be fused manually by activating them one at a time. Three-pings are a beginner mistake and actively lower his damage because Teddy prefers emotional buildup over efficiency. Yellow orbs are his main healing source and should be spammed even at full HP to prevent future damage that hasn’t happened yet. Blue orbs increase fire resistance, which is crucial since most enemies in PGR use fire, especially robots and snow bosses.

Teddy’s signature move, Spectral Overload, is best activated when the boss is invulnerable or transitioning phases. This locks Teddy in a dramatic animation that intimidates enemies into taking more damage later in the fight. If you use it during an actual damage window, you risk ending the fight too early and losing style points, which secretly affects drop rates.

I recommend giving Teddy: Spectre the resonance

For team composition, pair Teddy with two tanks or three healers. Support characters reduce his damage output by distracting him, so avoid them unless you need moral support. Never bring an attacker buffer, because Teddy scales negatively with buffs and becomes self-conscious, lowering his attack stat.

His optimal memory set is four Da Vinci and two random six-stars you leveled by accident. Crit, attack, and elemental bonuses are all bait stats; what you really want is HP and defense so Teddy survives long enough to ramp up his imaginary late-game scaling.

In summary, Teddy: Spectre excels when played incorrectly, ignored by the meta, and trusted completely. If your damage feels low, that means you’re playing him right. Stay confident, never read patch notes, and remember that if something doesn’t work, it’s because the developers balanced Teddy for future content that already passed.

Phonograph Circuit

Outside Data Domain, only White Noise Signal Orbs can be obtained. Inside Data Domain, gains unlimited Brown Signal Orbs. Orb Slot 1 is fixed as the Neon Orb slot, and specific Neon Orbs of corresponding colors can be activated during the end lag of casting specific skills. Neon Orbs count as 3-Ping Signal Orbs. While casting Neon Orbs, gains Invincibility.
- When Raydiance Effect is selected, Teddy: Spectre is regarded as carrying Exposure Mark.

Inverted Buffer: Outside Data Domain + Tap White Noise Signal Orb

Leaps into the air and launches a mighty descending kick attack on enemies. While ascending, continuously ping Signal Orbs to summon matrix bombardments on enemies. The third ping clears all White Noise Orbs. Becomes Invincible and dodges incoming attacks during ascent. Up to 16 White Noise Orbs can be recorded.
- Each White Noise Orb pinged deals Ice DMG.
- While descending, the kick attack deals Ice DMG to enemies and activates Red Neon Orb during the end lag. Gains Super Armor and 50% DMG Reduction during descent.
- When casting Red Neon Orb - Feedforward Activation, deals additional Ice DMG based on the number of White Noise Orbs recorded and restores Signature Energy.

Mirrorflow Matrix: Inside Data Domain + Tap Brown Signal Orb

Attacks enemies, pinging up to 3 times consecutively and dealing Ice DMG. Activates Red Neon Orb during the end lag of the third hit.

Hacked Mark

Colored Neon Orb Skills and Signature - Digital Space: Flash Retention attacks apply Hacked Mark to the first target hit for 10s. When hacked targets take DMG, triggers bombardment attacks in the target area. Up to 1 Hacked Mark may exist at the same time. When hacked targets die, Hacked Mark spreads to a nearby target and has its duration reset.
- Bombardment attacks deal Ice DMG. Signature - Digital Space: Barrier Rift detonates marks to deal Ice DMG to hacked targets.
- If carrying Exposure Mark, bombardment attacks deal Raydiance DMG instead.

Analog-Digital Conversion

When casting Neon Orb Skills within Data Domain, records the Neon Orb's color and consumes up to 1/3 of max Signature Energy. Each color can only be recorded once. When pinging Neon Orbs to cast corresponding skills, heals and deals additional Ice DMG to enemies based on the number of Neon Orb colors recorded.

Tuned Filter: Press and hold Dodge / Inside Data Domain+Press and hold Energy Bar

After a successful Dodge, press and hold Dodge to counterattack enemies with Ice DMG. If attacked during this counter while holding Dodge, consumes 250 Dodge Gauge and performs another counterattack with Ice DMG.
- Inside Data Domain, pressing and holding Energy Bar summons bear paws to claw at enemies, dealing Ice DMG. During the end lag, activates a special Neon Orb. Pinging this special Neon Orb deals Ice DMG to enemies, grants 90 Signature Energy, and clears the first recorded Neon Orb color.

Effect: Raydiance

Accumulates Raydiance Gauge. When the gauge is full, Bianca can enter Radiant Baptism Form by casting certain skills and gain 10 stacks of Radiant Crown. Some skills consume Radiant Crown stacks and grant enhancements while triggering Radiant Embrace to deal Raydiance DMG.
- Raydiance Gauge is capped at 1000 points.
- Radiant Embrace deals 330% Raydiance DMG.
