Ishmael: Parhelion

/GNS-■■■

001

Due to the cognitive limitations of her communication objects, Ishmael rarely reveals her true form. Instead, she tends to appear in the most acceptable form that matches the surroundings and the other object's information processing mode.

002

One of her identities in human civilization is Babylonia Control Court higher-up. Though she's documented as a Construct, there are no obvious Inver-Devices on her frame, and her appearance resembles a real human being. Strangely, nobody has questioned about it ever since she took office.

003

Ishmael rarely focuses on a single moment of time but lays her eyes on the final outcome—why obsess with the details of a fleeting moment if there's no way to change the result?

004

Ishmael won't interfere with the important nodes of development or deliberately avoid them. She always goes with the mood of the moment. From her perspective, it can lead to more possibilities in the future, and perhaps the answer she's been waiting for is being born quietly at the same time.

005

Today, emotions like love and courage can hardly evoke Ishmael's feelings. She understands them but can no longer get moved due to time and her detached perspective. Sparks of little things die quickly. Even if they converge into flame, they would be inevitably devoured by the cold universe... But fire is fire. It shines as it burns. So she is eager to see how long the flame of mankind can burn and whether it can cut through the endless darkness or not.

006

Remnants of a civilization lie behind the Gateway, like remains sealed in amber in the very moment of death and lasting until today without corruption or continuation. Ishmael would occasionally revisit that place. Perhaps there would be moments when she thinks of an old friend called Gray Raven.
