Background
Nirvatia once tried to find an electronic partner for Morigan. After hearing Morigan's long list of what a "perfect partner" had to be like, she dropped the idea.
Despite being a mechanical leftover from the Golden Age, the rebuilt Morigan is obsessed with the latest CUB news and keeps in close, cheerful contact with other CUBs, picking up all kinds of "secrets" about other squads along the way. Nirvatia never really comments on that. She only gives Morigan one serious warning: never leak anything about her. Otherwise...
Files
In the beginning, before any modifications, Morigan was just a mass-produced pet game console from the Golden Age. It was a gift for Nirvatia, who was so quiet back then that people worried about her. Presented with a dazzling array of pets, she skipped the rabbit, the panda, and the kitten, and reached straight for Morigan.
After she got the console, Nirvatia showed a kind of patience other kids just didn't have. Over more than ten years, she unlocked every map, turned their tiny in-game room into something like a big digital zoo, filled out the entire plant codex, and together she and that little bird cleared every mini game on the hardest difficulty. Then the company shut down, updates stopped, and Morigan's parts began to wear out. Like every old device, it knew its goodbye was coming, and in the end that day arrived...
In the lab, Nirvatia woke Morigan up and rebuilt him from a game console into a CUB. Morigan knew how much he had cost her. Nirvatia simply remarked, "Your voice sounds awful. Remember this. Today is your second Activation Date."
