Allos

Allos was created by accident. Alpha had meant to build a new motorcycle from spare parts, but once she started working on it, she had a different idea. Maybe the road did not just need the sound of an engine. Maybe it also needed someone she could spar with anytime, anywhere. That was how Allos was born.

Alpha used some bionics when designing Allos, and some ideas worked better than others. For example, it sleeps curled up like a lizard, which means its tail sometimes scratches its own coating. Once, it felt so bad about the damage that it sulked in a corner for a long time. When it woke up, the scratches had somehow been fixed. Its owner never said anything, but Allos later found a pile of empty paint cans in the motorcycle trunk...

Since Allos was rebuilt from a motorcycle, it still has a full riding module. But riding it does not feel like riding a bike. It feels more like riding a horse that knows you well, and Allos enjoys galloping with Alpha that way.

Allos can recharge in different ways, but its favorite is still gasoline. When it looks at Alpha and lets out that sad little engine whine, it is asking for its favorite treat.

Allos has followed Alpha across countless landscapes—beneath starlit skies, through fading sunsets, over wide grasslands and empty wastelands. It may not understand what makes Alpha stop and admire them. But for Allos, beauty is much easier to define: wherever Alpha is, that place becomes beautiful.
