Babel Tower, 39th Floor
Babel Tower, 39th Floor.
Alright, one more minute. If they don't show up, we're going up without them.
Dante and Vergil stand idly on the Babel Tower's 39th floor, boredom evident in their postures.
So, who is she?
What?
Oh c'mon, you know who. That woman, Nero's mom.
Seriously, I'm dying to know what kind of woman could've won Vergil's heart.
Next time we see Nero, we should have a little dinner together. You know, a family dinner. Heh!
In response to Dante's question, Vergil simply rolls his eyes.
You're hardly one to ask. What of the women around you? Have you given thought to their fates?
...I take back my question.
Another moment of silence falls between them.
Coming.
Footsteps echo as you and Alpha appear by the door.
So?
Nice work. Don't wreck it though. We'll need that for our return.
The structure of the Babel Tower's 39th floor diverges from the previous ones. Gone are the multiple doors. Instead, a single, long staircase stretches beyond the open area.
Next up is the 40th floor.
You all move forward cautiously. Ahead of you stands the emaciated figure of Thomas, waiting in silence.
Looks like we've made it to the top.
It's a pity that this tower only has 40 floors now. If I had just bided my time a bit longer, handling you all would have been much easier...
Hmph, your little games end here.
Games? You dare call it games?
Hardly worthy of being called games... just the futile thrashing of a pest.
Oh, let me see... the blue big brother... hee... haha...
Shamefully defeated by the Demon Emperor Mundus...
And the red little brother, cowering in the Human World after the fire... playing house with his precious humans... hee...
Alright, now you've pissed me off. You better be ready for what's coming.
Time to die...
No, no, no. Before that, you'll have to face another entity... a "mirror image" first.
